I thought of opening a bakery but I did not know how to start. I went to buy a packet of bread as a starter but I realised I did not even have a plate to serve. I went to market to buy a plate and I was confused to see there are so many in different sizes available. I purchased two small sized plates.
When they were used I purchased one dish washer soap to keep them clean after use. I served the bread later in the day and also had to arrange a dustbin to dump the wrappers. My day was successful with short term goal achieved and things went right.
Even a short term goal of keeping my dream alive took so many steps to complete. Next day I did not had to go market to purchase a plate. My short term goal was different for the next day.
For me it was to collect a stock of bread everyday so that I do not run out of breads. Next week I purchased some more plates with the profit I attracted. In 100 days I ended up with a enough stocks of bread, butter, plates required to open a eatery, which was a milestone in my long term goal.
Short term goals are like small steps to achieve the long term goal. Lets take some fixed steps every day, and if we left behind for some reason, clear that backlog next day. If the backlog is piling up for a long time, Lets leave it the way it is and give it a fresh start.
We should also be careful of the right direction of our steps. On the first day if I had purchased six plates instead of two, I would have been in loss and had taken long to reach my goal due to wasting my time in fixing the mistake.
Lets not do things that are not required, Lets invest time to do creative and fruitful things, Eventually we will reach our long term goal. Even if we have not set any long term goal, our destiny will lead to a ultimate point which will give us the happiness that we actually ask from ourself.
